I believe that every individual is deserving of acceptance, love, and compassion. We all have the ability to grow and to live fulfilling lives. We can find meaning through our relationships with ourselves and others. I value each client I work with and strive to understand your needs. Through therapy, I will work hard to provide the emotional support you need, and build a collaborative, growth-oriented relationship with you as we work toward the changes you seek.
I have a strong background working with children, adolescents, families, and individuals. I have experience working with people seeking to better manage their anxiety and depression, parents facing the various challenges of parenthood, people trying to navigate their life transitions, clients who want to learn how to set boundaries, people who want to explore their family dynamics, clients facing grief and loss, those wanting to heal from trauma, and clients who want to improve their self-esteem and self-acceptance. I strongly believe that every person is capable of change and growth, and can achieve more satisfaction and peace in their relationships and in their lives.
While we all experience challenges, every person is different, and deserves treatment catered to their individual needs. That is why I use a variety of treatment modalities that are specific to each client. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. My training and toolbox as a therapist include Mindfulness Based Approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Art and Play Therapy. As I get to know you and we begin our work together, I will use my training in different treatment approaches to suit your needs. I will work with you to determine what is helpful and feels right to you.
