“Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional” -Buddha
Hello! I am so glad that you’re here and taking steps to improve your mental health. My work with adults is based on principles of acceptance, warmth, and normalizing the human experience. Beginning the therapeutic journey can feel daunting. I’m here to provide a safe and comfortable space to explore the areas you’re struggling with or looking to self-improve. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in counseling, therefore, my commitment to my clients is to be authentic, genuine, and non-judgmental.
I support my clients by focusing on acceptance of circumstances, mindfulness, and skill-building. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, challenging family dynamics, and self-destructive behaviors. Have you ever found yourself hiding parts of yourself to appease others? Maybe you often change your behavior or personality traits depending on who you’re with. I am passionate about helping clients discover and explore their beliefs and develop consistent, stable identities. I integrate Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Client-centered therapy, and Family Systems therapy into my approach. It is deeply important to me to support you in the ways that you need and to help you cultivate a more fruitful life, whatever that means to you.
